inMy networking shortcut that saved me $200 a month
Wait, does that mean you think we should skip parks and fire departments too since our tax money pays for those? @kellyg14, you're right that someone pays for the library, but the whole point of pooling tax dollars is so we all get shared benefits without a direct fee at the door. It's a community investment, not a hidden charge, and calling it "free" just means no cash leaves your pocket when you walk in. If we're being really technical, even a sale at the store isn't "free" because someone paid to make the product, so does that mean nothing is ever free?

inOverheard a guy in a Lisbon cafe say he's been here 8 months without a visa
Have you ever actually seen someone get caught and face consequences, or is it all just hearsay?

inOverheard a nurse say most people ignore their blood pressure until it's too late
Skip the yearly checkup and you're probably fine. Most of that blood pressure stuff is overblown unless you're already feeling like garbage. I've gone years without seeing a doctor and my numbers were always normal when I finally did go. People freak out over a high reading at the pharmacy but that's just nerves or bad timing. If you're not having chest pain or dizzy spells, you're likely wasting your time and money on those appointments.

Those exclusive pledges" I started just buying the base retail version of games myself. Way less regret.

inPro tip: check your miter saw blade before starting a big job
Ngl, my buddy did the exact same thing last summer on his kitchen cabinets. He was so mad he just threw the blade in the trash and bought a new one on the spot.
