Serious question, who else got burned by an AI tool promising the moon?
Last month I jumped on this AI scheduling assistant for my roofing crew, thought it would save me hours. Three days in, it double booked two big jobs, one in Portland and one in Beaverton, and I had to call a client to cancel, lost a $4,000 contract over it. The company behind it had this slick demo showing how it learns your patterns, but it just couldn't handle the chaos of last minute rain delays and material shortages. I went back to my old paper calendar and a whiteboard, which is slower but at least I know where I stand. Has anyone else had an AI tool mess up something that cost you real money?
