I thought meal planning was a waste of time until my grocery bill dropped by $60 last month
I used to just grab whatever looked good, but after three weeks of throwing out spoiled veggies, I tried writing a list for five dinners. It felt silly, but it actually stopped the impulse buys. Anyone else have a simple trick that saved them money without feeling like a chore?

Totally get that. I was the same way, just tossing stuff in the cart. What finally clicked for me was just planning lunches for work. I make a big batch of one thing on Sunday, like chili or soup, and that's it for the week. No more buying overpriced sandwiches or fast food because I'm hungry at 11am. It sounds boring but it cut my spending so much.

Yeah, the "impulse buys" part got me too... I always thought planning was for super organized people. But seeing stuff go bad in the fridge finally made me try it.
