Rant: That $80 'professional grade' plunger was actually a lifesaver
I always thought people who spent real money on a plunger were getting scammed. Like, it's a rubber cup on a stick, how fancy can you get? But after my third cheap one cracked and left me dealing with an overflow on a Saturday night, I snapped and bought this heavy duty one from a plumbing supply place. It was almost $80 and I felt stupid handing over my card. But that thing has a bellows design and a tapered end that actually seals the toilet bowl. Used it last week on a nasty clog and it cleared in one solid push, no mess. My old ones always just splashed water around and never really fixed the problem. Anyone else ever paid way too much for a tool and had it actually work better than you expected?

My neighbor swore by that same plunger after her cheap one flew apart mid-plunge and soaked her bathroom ceiling. She still talks about how that $80 thing paid for itself in saved frustration.

Right? I felt the same way until I dropped $60 on a toilet auger instead of using a coat hanger like a dummy. It was the best money I ever spent, cleared a clog in like ten seconds flat. Now I don't even bother with the cheap stuff anymore.
