Tried using AI to plan my gym workouts for a month, here is what happened
I got really into those AI fitness apps last month after seeing ads everywhere. You tell it your equipment, goals, and how many days you can train, then it generates a whole program. For the first two weeks, it felt great having something push me with new exercises I never tried before. But by week three, I noticed the AI kept giving me workouts that felt too similar even though I asked for variety. One day it had me doing 4 back exercises in a row with no break for my deadlift day the next morning. I ended up tweaking most of the sessions myself to make them practical. Has anyone else tried letting an AI run their training schedule and hit a wall with the logic?

Oh man I had almost the exact same experience with an AI trainer app three months ago. What finally worked for me was using the AI just for exercise ideas but then building my own weekly structure around it. I would pick 3-4 moves from the AI suggestions that actually made sense together and toss the rest. After a few weeks I got pretty good at cherry picking the good stuff and ignoring the nonsense like putting heavy deadlifts right after a ton of back work.

Nah, the AI's programming was probably fine. You just can't handle real volume.
