Air fryer wings beat deep fried ones in my house after a side by side test last Sunday

I did 20 wings in my air fryer and 20 in a pot of oil, and the air fryer wings had way better crunch with none of the greasy mess, has anyone else found the same thing?

Pat dry your wings with paper towels and let them sit uncovered in the fridge for an hour before the air fryer. That little trick pulls out extra moisture and gives you a crunch that's better than any deep fryer I've tried. Just remember to flip them halfway through at 380.

380 degrees, huh? I gotta say @wren_walker62, I tried that fridge drying trick myself and it does help a bit, but I actually get better results at a higher temp. I run my air fryer at 400 and just keep an eye on them. The fridge thing works but I think people oversell it. I've found that if you toss them in a little bit of baking powder with your seasoning, that does way more for crunch than any fridge drying. Flip them at 8 minutes and they come out perfect every time, no drying needed.
