Burnt my garlic bread so bad the smoke alarm went off at 7am
I was making garlic bread for breakfast last Tuesday because my oven broke and I figured the air fryer could handle it. Recipe said 4 minutes at 350 but I got distracted feeding my cat and left it in for like 9. That thing went from golden to charcoal so fast, the smoke was pouring out and my downstairs neighbor actually knocked on my door asking if I was okay. The bread looked like a hockey puck with black chunks and the whole apartment smelled like a campfire for hours. I had to toss the basket outside and run the fan on high while eating dry cereal instead. Now I always set a timer on my phone AND watch the air fryer window like a hawk, but has anyone else had a recipe time just totally betray them like that?

My air fryer burned my toast at 3am once, timers save lives now.
