Dropped $45 on a 3-pack of air fryer parchment liners that curled up and nearly caught my heating element
So last weekend I finally caved and bought one of those pre-cut parchment liner sets because I was tired of scrubbing the basket after every batch of wings. They came in a 3-pack for $45 which already felt steep, but the reviews swore they fit my 5.8 quart model perfectly. First time I used one, the edges curled up within two minutes and the corner was touching the top heating coil, I could smell it burning from the other room. I pulled the drawer out and the paper was black and smoking, so I tossed all three packs. Now I'm using foil with a little oil spray which works fine but I keep reading that foil blocks airflow, so has anyone found a liner that actually stays flat and does not cost a fortune?

Spending $45 on fancy paper is the actual problem here. Foil works fine and the airflow thing is way overblown, people act like wings turn into hockey pucks if air can't do a full lap around the basket. I've used foil for two years, wings come out crisp every time, and a roll costs like four bucks. Your parchment caught fire because parchment is thin paper sitting inches from a hot coil, that is not a liner flaw, that is physics. Maybe the move is to stop buying single use stuff and just soak the basket in hot water for ten minutes before scrubbing.
