My neighbor watched me pull burnt fries out of my air fryer and said something I keep thinking about
Last Saturday my neighbor Dave was over watching the game and I pulled a batch of fries out that were dark on the edges and raw in the middle. He looked at the basket and said, "you're cooking for a photo, not for your mouth," which honestly stuck with me more than it should have. I'd been doing 400 degrees for 18 minutes because that's what some video showed, but he told me to try 360 for 12 and shake them at the 6 minute mark. Tried it Tuesday and they came out way better, crispy all over with no burnt spots. Anyone else find that lower temp and a mid cook shake fixes like 90 percent of air fryer problems?
