My wife bet me $20 the air fryer couldn't do a whole chicken, so I tried it at 360 for 50 minutes
The skin came out crackly and the meat was still juicy, and she paid up without a fight. Now I want to know what else people swore wouldn't work in one of these things.
My brother told me ribs would be a disaster in the air fryer so I gave it a shot anyway. I did a dry rub, cooked them at 350 for about 25 minutes, then wrapped them in foil with a splash of apple juice for another 15. They came out tender with a decent bark, not fall off the bone like a smoker but close enough for a Tuesday night. He still says it doesn't count, but he ate four of them so I'm calling that a win.
