Pro tip: Don't try to air fry fish in a hotel room

The smell will linger for days and you might get charged. I learned this after a business stay last month.

Yikes, that post hits too close to home. I once tried to microwave some leftover curry in a hotel, not even air frying, and the smell stuck to everything. My suitcase still faintly smells like spices, and I'm pretty sure the front desk gave me a weird look when I checked out. It's like the hotel vents are designed to trap every food smell forever. I learned my lesson the hard way, so now I just order overpriced room service or suffer with snacks. Seriously, avoid any kind of hotel cooking unless you want to be that person.

That line about hotel vents trapping smells forever is so true. It's like they build rooms to hold onto any strong smell, from last night's takeout to that weird carpet cleaner they use. I've had the same thing happen with gym bags that never lose that stale sweat smell, or how a car interior holds onto fast food for days. Some materials just absorb smells and refuse to let go, and hotels are the worst for it.

Or you could just open a window next time, @singh.ben.
