PSA: I was crowding my air fryer basket for a solid year

I kept wondering why my frozen fries came out soggy on one side and burnt on the other, until my friend in Chicago pointed out my basket looked like a packed subway car. I started leaving space between each piece and it's a total game changer for crispiness. What's one simple thing you changed that made your air fryer results way better?

Who knew giving food some room was the real secret to air frying?

Realized I was basically steaming my food instead of air frying it by overloading the basket. My chicken wings were sweating on each other like they were in a tiny, hot gym. Started treating it like a bad party where everyone needs personal space. The difference is almost embarrassing, like I had been using a fancy toaster wrong for a year.
