FBO ramp at KAPA made me question our whole tool policy

I stopped by Centennial Airport last Tuesday to pick up a friend who flies a Cessna 182 out of there. While I waited, I watched their line crew and I noticed they all used the same brand of cordless impact drivers, Milwaukee ones, and they had a locked charging cabinet with a logbook next to it. Our shop back home lets everyone bring their own tools and honestly we have three different brands floating around, plus batteries that never match when someone needs a quick charge. It got me thinking about how much downtime we lose hunting for the right charger or swapping out a dead 12 volt for a spent 18 volt in the middle of a cowling job. Is anyone else running a shop-managed tool system, or are you all still on the honor system with personal gear? I am curious if the locked cabinet approach actually cuts down on borrowed tools walking off, because our missing 10 mm sockets could fill a coffee can by now.
