Old school round wheel bearing tool vs the new kit I finally got

Spent 15 years doing C-130 wheel bearings with the old drift and hammer method over at the depot in Oklahoma City. Got handed one of those laser aligned bearing packer kits last month, might as well be night and day. The old way worked but it got me nervous every time, especially on a 300 dollar bearing. Took me maybe 20 minutes extra to learn the new setup and now I trust the torque reading every single time. Anyone else stuck on their old habits or is it just me?
