Warning: My garage cleanup got a full aircraft logbook treatment

I tried to tidy up my garage and accidentally used the same system we have for tracking parts on planes. Now everything has a tag and a history sheet, even my old bike. My neighbor asked to borrow a wrench and I made him sign it out like a tool from the shop. He laughed but called me nuts, which is fair.

Honestly, that's the only way to do it. Next you'll be tracking hours on your light bulbs and doing a full inspection on your coffee mug before use. I bet you have a service bulletin out for your lawnmower blade. Just wait until you need a form in triplicate to get a soda from the fridge.

I mean, that part about the light bulbs got me. I totally did something similar after a long week at work. I started logging how many times I used my kitchen scissors and made a note to 'retire' them after what I decided was too many cuts on cardboard.
