PSA: I left my $19/hr job at the Wichita call center because I was the problem, not the customers
For 6 months I blamed everyone else for why I hated my shift, until a guy named Dale called in about a $12 late fee and I heard myself being the exact kind of jerk I used to complain about. I walked out at lunch and told my lead she could keep the headset, and now I'm wondering if that was brave or just me running from the mirror. Did anyone else leave a job only to figure out they were the toxic one?
