Quit my church choir after the director timed my bathroom breaks, best call I made
I was in the alto section for 4 years and last Sunday she literally stood outside the door with her stopwatch, told me I took 7 minutes too long, so I packed my music folder mid-practice and haven't looked back, has anyone else walked away from a volunteer gig that started feeling like a full-time job?

Had a buddy go through something similar with a community garden group. She volunteered every weekend for a year, then the lead started assigning her extra tasks like organizing the tool shed and updating their social media. One day she got a passive aggressive email about missing a watering shift while she was on vacation, so she just stopped showing up. The funniest part is the lead texted her two months later asking for the password to the Instagram account she'd set up. Volunteer gigs can turn into unpaid management real fast, and it's wild when people forget you're doing them a favor.
