Changed my mind about impact guns after a stripped lug nut nightmare

Three days in and I'm pretty sure my old pump is feeling real lonely in the corner (not that I blame it).

Vent: Tried that coworking space in Medellin everyone raves about and it was a total disaster for my focus

That $300 a month place sounds rough but honestly my wifi at home cuts out at random times too and I just reload the page and move on with my day. If a coworking space has bad internet for 15 minutes I don't think that's worth buying a whole separate hotspot and rearranging your entire sleep schedule around. Maybe I'm just lucky but most of these problems can be solved by asking the front desk to reset the router or just using your phone as a hotspot for a bit.

Cinder block wall collapsed 2 days after I built it - was it my footings or the block quality?

Holy cow, you stacked a retaining wall with no gravel base?

Found out I was sharpening my chisels wrong after 5 years of woodworking

Oh man, that second bevel thing bit me too. I spent a whole year wondering why my paring cuts looked like a beaver had been at them - turns out I was creating a micro-bevel on the wrong dang side (the back, not the cutting edge). My grandfather (who taught me) would have probably smacked me if he saw me doing it for that long. I remember the first dovetail I cut after fixing my technique - it slid together like butter instead of needing a mallet and some cursing. Funny how something that small (maybe a couple degrees of angle difference) makes such a huge mess for so long.

Pro tip: I used to keep my game collection in a closet, but now it's a full wall in my living room

Used to be firmly in the "keep it all hidden away" camp (dusted twice a year, max). But after seeing someone's copy of Parks just sitting out, I realized how much of a conversation starter an open shelf can be. Now my compromise is a mix - the bright, glossy boxes like Ticket to Ride and Cascadia stay out where people grab them, but stuff with weird shapes or dark covers (looking at you, Agricola) stays in a cabinet. Still bothers me a little bit, but the trade-off is worth it for those random Tuesday night games.
