PSA: A friend told me my habit tracker was 'pointless busywork' and I got defensive at first.

My old bullet journal had like 12 trackers, from mood to screen time. I mean, it looked pretty but I was just moving a pen across a page. My sister saw it and asked if coloring in the squares was my new hobby. That kinda hit me. Now I just log my morning run and if I took my vitamins, because those actually matter to me. The rest felt like I was just proving I could keep a chart.

My accountant told me I was treating my car like a personal piggy bank and it cost me $1,200

Yeah, I saw something similar about how the IRS really looks at vehicle use. They check mileage logs and stuff like that to see if it's really all business. It's a classic way they find deductions that don't add up.

Just read that some new heavy duty trucks are running at 15,000 psi fuel pressure

Forget the clean room, think about the fuel itself. At those pressures, you're basically running liquid sandpaper. What's that doing to the tank and lines over 200,000 miles?

A crab stole my wrench during a hull clean in Baltimore last month

That sounds like a gentle way to handle it. Sometimes you just need to give them a little nudge back to deeper water. Glad it worked out for both of you.

My brother-in-law from Boise said something about garage floors that got me thinking

My buddy Dave in Toledo skipped the sealer on his garage floor last year. He put the epoxy right over some small cracks like you mentioned. By winter, the whole coating had these white lines under it from moisture coming up. He had to grind it all off and start over, which cost him double the time and money. His contractor told him a basic acrylic sealer would have locked those cracks down. Now he swears by doing that step first, says it's cheap insurance.
