Why does nobody warn you about the $60 OBD2 scanner that can't read ABS codes
Dropped 60 bucks on a scanner at the O'Reilly in Springfield last month so I could figure out why my 2007 Corolla had the ABS light on. Turns out the cheap ones only pull engine codes, so I got a P0301 misfire code while the actual brake problem stayed invisible. Had to drive it to a guy in town who charged me $40 just to plug in his real scanner for two minutes. What are you all using to read the brake and airbag codes without paying dealership prices?
