After the cheap DIY kit flood in 2021, my panel swaps went from 3 days to 6 hours. Was it worth it?
Back in 2021 I was still running keypads with resistors at every contact because that is how the old guy trained me. Took me 3 full days to rough and trim a 2500 sq ft house. Last week I did the same size place in 6 hours, all wireless sensors, panel talks to the app, done. Here is the split: half the guys in my local supply house say the wireless stuff is a shortcut for hacks who can't pull wire, and the other half say resistor and zone wiring is just nostalgia that costs the customer money. I keep both in the truck depending on the house. What pushed you one way or the other? Money per job or the quality of the install?
