Hot take: Basic motion sensors and ceiling fans are a bad mix
I ran into this on a recent install. The fans kept setting off the alarms. After some research, I switched to dual-tech sensors. Now I check for fans first to avoid issues. What's your approach for similar problems?

Read online that @jason_kelly8's sensor placement fix usually stops fan false alarms.

Actually, that setup works fine most of the time if you place the sensors right. The problem is usually pointing them right at the moving blades. Just aim the sensor down a wall or into a corner away from the fan's sweep. Have you tried adjusting the placement before switching to a different sensor type?

Ever notice how people always go for the hard fix first? Your sensor tip is spot on. Most issues just need a tweak, not a whole new system.
