TIL the hard way that attic heat can melt your panel glue
Had a day last July where I installed three panels in an attic near Phoenix. Outside temp was 108, attic was probably 140. Used my regular adhesive like always. Next week the customer called saying the panels were hanging loose. Went back and all three had the glue literally dripping down the wall. Had to redo the whole job with high-temp rated adhesive. Cost me an extra 4 hours and $60 in materials. Anyone else run into adhesive failure in crazy heat?

Actually, that 140 degree attic temp might have been a low estimate since Phoenix attics regularly hit 160+ in July.

Man I thought I was tough for surviving a Texas summer until I read about Phoenix attics hitting 160+. I can barely handle my car being parked outside for 10 minutes without melting into the seat, let alone whatever's happening in an attic up there. Guess I'll stop complaining about my 120 degree crawl space now, I'm just a rookie in the heat Olympics apparently.
