Was running a boom truck on a tight job site in Austin and a hornet nest fell right into the cab
I was parked next to a strip mall off Lamar Boulevard, extending the boom to set an HVAC unit on a roof, when this big paper nest drops from the boom tip and lands on my seat. I jumped out so fast I knocked over my lunch cooler, and my spotter was laughing his ass off while I used a can of wasp spray from two feet away. Ended up wrapping the whole cab in a tarp for 10 minutes and smoked them out with a shop vac hose. Has anyone else had a surprise wildlife moment that stopped a job cold?
