Hot take: a customer told me my cable management looked like spaghetti and it fixed my whole bench setup
A guy dropped off a custom build at my place in Reno last March and said, quote, 'the inside looks like spaghetti, do you actually know what you're doing?' That stung because he was right, my bench had zip ties everywhere and I was always digging for the right one mid job. So I switched to velcro straps and a cheap label maker, and now I sort cables by length into three bins on the wall. Last week I finished a PSU swap in 22 minutes instead of the 45 it used to take, mostly because I wasn't untangling stuff. Turns out the mess was slowing me down way more than I wanted to admit. Curious if anyone else got called out by a customer and actually changed their setup because of it.
