Unpopular opinion: sleeping in my car at a Denver rest stop beat my $95 hostel bed
Last summer I got stuck in Denver on a Tuesday night when every cheap room was booked, so I folded the seats down in my Civic and crashed at a rest stop off I-70 instead of paying $95 for a hostel bunk with 5 other people. The rest stop had clean bathrooms and I slept fine, but my sister thinks paying for a bed is always worth it for safety. Where do you all draw the line between saving cash and feeling safe?
