inTried a 360-degree camera view for a blind lift behind a hospital wing
Classic. The engineering equivalent of holding it together with hope and a prayer. That last 30 feet blind must have been something else - just praying no one decided to walk into the corner at the wrong time. At least the camera took one for the team by taking a swing at his knee instead of something more important. Probably could have mounted it on his helmet and looked like an absolute clown, but I guess the pole setup was more dignified until it wasn't. Sometimes you just have to accept that your backup plan is closing your eyes and going for it. Hope he didn't run into any of the old folks on their afternoon stroll.

inHot steel hit my boot and I just stood there frozen
Wait, is a little burn on your boot leather really a big deal? You stood there for a second, it burned through a boot, you learned your lesson, sounds like a normal day in the shop to me.

inShoutout to the guy who told me I was prompting AI wrong
Did you start treating it like a junior dev who needs the full picture before touching code? That's what finally clicked for me, now I dump my whole thought process in there and the output actually makes sense.

inMy uncle insisted I buy a $2,500 pressure washer for my new side hustle, but after 3 months I've only had two jobs.
Do you ever notice how many people push buying the right equipment first, like it's some kind of magic solution? I see it everywhere, not just in work but in hobbies too. People think having the newest van or the best lawnmower will make them successful, but it's really about knowing your market and building trust first. My nephew spent a fortune on a high end sewing machine for a side hustle, and now it's just gathering dust because she never figured out if anyone actually wanted to pay for her stuff. It's this weird idea that spending money replaces the hard work of finding customers and learning the ropes. You're right to call it out, sometimes the old fashioned way of starting small is still the best.

inI just realized I've been wasting money on subscriptions for years
Cancel the second you remember it... I lost $15 last month on a streaming service I forgot about. That "I'll do it later" turns into another whole month of paying. Set the reminder for right when you sign up, not after.
