That week my water heater died on a Friday and flooded the garage on Rio Grande Blvd
So last Friday I came home to about 2 inches of water in my garage on Rio Grande Blvd and the water heater was shot. The worst part? The plumber quoted me $1,800 to replace it because of the Friday emergency rate, and I had to wait until Monday for the permit. If your heater is over 10 years old like mine was, check the pan and the shutoff valve now, because that weekend cost me a grand total of $2,300 with the drywall repair. Has anyone found a fair priced plumber around here for a non emergency swap?
