Bought a $30 air horn for my home office to deal with meeting overload

It was a joke gift, but I actually used it once when three people tried to schedule over my lunch break. The stunned silence was worth every penny. Anyone else find a silly thing that actually worked?

My wife put a tiny wind-up toy on my desk that does a little dance. I wind it up when a call gets too tense, and it always breaks the mood. It's funny how a small, physical object can reset a whole conversation. I've started seeing these little "reset buttons" everywhere, from a coworker's stress ball to the bell on my neighbor's bike.

That "reset button" idea from @leo_mason is so true. It's like we all need a small, dumb thing to pull us out of our own heads for a second. My favorite one is just watching the coffee machine finish its cycle.
