I accidentally sent a client's entire project folder to the wrong email address.

My old boss had a 24-hour rule for email mistakes. Call the client first, explain the slip, then contact the wrong recipient to ask them to delete it. Transparency usually prevents bigger problems later.

Read an article last year about a law firm that got fined. A paralegal sent a file to the wrong person and they didn't report it fast enough. The key was immediate disclosure to both parties. Made me set up a delay on my own email.
