Overheard my manager say my idea was 'cute' and I went silent
Yesterday during a team meeting we were brainstorming fixes for the client portal slowdown. I suggested we switch the cache refresh to off-peak hours, and my manager laughed and told the lead dev it was a 'cute suggestion' before moving on. Thing is, I've been tracking the error logs for 3 weeks and we hit peak lag around 2pm every single day. She never asked me for the data or even looked at the screen. I just sat there for the rest of the hour, not saying another word. Has anyone else had a boss kill your confidence like that and then wondered if pushing back later would actually help?

Cute" is code for "I missed the point." I emailed the data later and it changed nothing, but I felt better.
