The day I stopped microwaving my lunch at my desk in the Chicago office
Last Tuesday I nuked some leftover salmon in the break room microwave and the smell hit the whole floor. Our HR person came over and asked me to toss it because someone complained. After that I started packing cold sandwiches and salads instead. Has anyone else had a coworker ruin a good microwave routine with a stinky fish dish?

Three days after the salmon incident, I swear the break room microwave STILL smelled faintly like a pier. That HR person should have just opened a window or sprayed something instead of making you throw out your lunch. Honestly, what kind of office has ONE microwave for a whole floor anyway? Did they at least offer to replace your salmon or give you a voucher for the cafeteria? Seems like they owe you a decent meal after that.
