Walked into the break room and saw a Keurig where the old percolator used to be

That machine sat there for 12 years brewing the same bitter pot at 6 AM, but when they swapped it out last spring the whole morning vibe shifted and now nobody even talks to each other while waiting for their single cups, anyone else miss the communal coffee pot arguments?

You're talking about "the whole morning vibe shifted" like it's some deep loss. It's a coffee machine, not a bonding ritual. If a Keurig killed office conversation, the conversation probably wasn't much to begin with.

put a pod in there and offer to make someone a cup. works every time. i kept a little jar of instant coffee stashed in my desk drawer at my old job for the same reason.
