Always used a multimeter to test fuses until a senior tech showed me the light bulb trick

After 2 years of pulling fuses and checking continuity, this old guy in Phoenix just clips a light bulb across the circuit. If it lights up, the fuse is good and the load is the problem. Way faster, anyone else use this method?

My buddy tried that trick and blew a fuse across his whole shop.

and that right there is the thing about shortcuts, man. we all want to skip the boring step, but half the time the boring step is the only thing keeping the whole system from going up in smoke. it's like trying to fix a leaky pipe with duct tape instead of just turning the water off first, you know? sometimes you gotta respect the process even when it feels like a waste of time.
