Spent $350 on a battery-powered chainsaw and now I'm kicking myself
I picked up a Stihl battery saw back in June thinking it'd be great for quick limb jobs without messing with gas. First two weeks it was fine, cutting small branches no problem. Then I tried it on a 12 inch oak limb and it just bogged down and quit halfway through. Battery died after maybe 15 minutes of actual cutting. Has anyone else had luck with the bigger battery packs or should I just stick to my gas saw?

Did your friend buy the smaller battery by accident? My buddy Tom got one of those battery saws last summer and had the same problem. He was all excited trimming his apple tree until he hit a knot. Saw just quit on him halfway through and wouldn't start again for like an hour. He bought the bigger battery pack from the same brand and it helped some but not enough. Now he keeps the gas saw for anything bigger than his arm and uses the battery one for light trimming. Basically he feels like he paid a lot for something that only does half the job.

Wait wait, the saw just quit for an HOUR? Like it needed a nap or something? That's wild. I'd be so ticked off if my tools started taking smoke breaks.
