Dropped $3,800 on CoolSculpting last year and I swear I look exactly the same.

And just to clarify actually CoolSculpting freezes fat cells but it doesn't get rid of them permanently for everyone, some people's bodies just regenerate the fat or redistribute it to other areas. I have a buddy who swears it worked on his stomach but his back look weirder after.

The Wednesday our office AC died and the boss kept us working in 90 degrees for 8 hours straight

Did you catch that news story a while back about the postal workers who collapsed from heat exhaustion because their supervisors wouldn't let them stop delivering? That's the vibe I get from your boss, honestly. I read somewhere that once the wet bulb temperature hits a certain point, your body literally can't cool down no matter how much water you chug. Your printer jamming from humidity is a solid hint that the air was basically soup, not air. Bosses who think "drink water" fixes everything have clearly never sat in a 90 degree office for a full shift.

Talked to a retired Maytag tech who fixed dryers with a paperclip last Tuesday

You say "half his fixes were just cleaning lint out of places nobody checks" but is that really a game changer or just basic maintenance? I've fixed a few dryers myself and yeah, cleaning lint is important but it's not some secret trick, it's common sense. Kind of feels like we're making a big deal out of something pretty simple.

The weird quiet at the local diner got me thinking about open floor plans

We had a restaurant in my old neighborhood that did this whole open kitchen thing and the design really mattered. A buddy of mine is into acoustics and he said those tile ceilings and soft materials make a huge difference, otherwise it's just chaos. Did your place do anything special with the layout to keep the noise down?
