Can we talk about the whole 'ancient aliens' thing with the Nazca Lines?

I was reading a paper from the University of Tokyo that used soil analysis to date the geoglyphs, and it basically shows they were made over centuries by different local cultures. The idea that they're alien runways just ignores the actual, complex human history we can see in the dirt. Has anyone else seen solid evidence that actually counters the alien theory?

My uncle visited Peru and said the scale is just impossible to grasp from photos.

My friend Sarah hiked to Machu Picchu last year and said the terraces felt like they went on forever. Photos just flatten the whole thing.
