My Roman coin turned out to be a 1980s copy, lesson learned at the flea market

Picked up what I thought was a 3rd century denarius at a flea market outside Pittsburgh for $120. The seller had a whole story about it coming from an old estate. Got it home, cleaned it carefully, and noticed the edges looked too crisp. Took it to a local museum's ID day last Saturday. They tested it and said it was a modern cast copy, probably worth $8. I felt pretty dumb but at least I didn't pay more. Anyone else get burned by a fake artifact before?
