Overheard my neighbor say 'free money makes you lazy with a budget' and it hit hard

Totally get what you're saying but I think having a little fun money is actually a good thing. It's more about learning to spend it mindfully instead of just blowing it because it's there.

Walked into the credit union I've used since 1998 and barely recognized the place

Bigger banks have been thinning out tellers for years now, @joseph529, so cutting drive-thru ones wouldn't be a huge shock. Is a lane that lets you talk to someone through a speaker and a drawer really that sacred? Seems like they could just use an ATM for deposits and call it a day. I'm not losing sleep over it until they start taking away the coffee machines in lobbies.

Am I the only one who used to dread adjusting internal cable routing?

Ha, I feel your pain but hold up a sec. That zip tie and string trick is clever, but you can skip the tape if you just crimp the string end with a pair of pliers. Makes it stiff enough to poke through most housing without snagging. And honestly, that 9-speed chain whip still has a use - some old school track bikes still run 1/8 inch chains. Don't toss it just yet.

I was combing hair wrong for years until a client pointed it out

My uncle was a barber and he swore by that exact move, @christopher_craig. He'd get the comb right under the stubborn part at the scalp, lift it up and hold it for a second with a bit of product, then lay it down. It was like he was resetting the memory of the hair.

Update: My AI upscaling tool went from making blurry messes to usable images in about 4 months.

Used to think you needed years to see real change. Watched my neighbor go from barely walking his dog to running 5Ks in about that time. He just stuck with small, daily walks that got longer. It made me realize how much can happen if you don't quit.
