Sold my old truck bed trailer for $850 and put every dollar on the Visa card
Three weeks ago I finally cleaned out the side yard and listed the trailer I had been tripping over since we moved to Tulsa. The buyer handed me $850 in cash on a Saturday morning and instead of buying the new table saw I had been eyeing, I drove straight to the bank and paid down the card that had been sitting at 22%. Now I am down to $1,400 left on it, so what is the one thing you sold or skipped that actually moved the needle for you?
I once sold a treadmill on Facebook for $200 and then spent $200 on takeout over the next month, so you are basically a financial wizard compared to me. That 22% card was probably eating you alive every single month, so throwing $850 at it had to feel way better than any table saw would have. My one win was finally canceling a gym membership I had not used since 2021 and putting that money toward a credit card instead of pretending I would suddenly become a gym person. Funny how the stuff sitting around collecting dust is often the exact thing that gets you out of debt. Enjoy the empty side yard and the lower balance, both sound pretty great right now.
