Gave up my morning phone check and now my head is clearer
So I stopped looking at my phone as soon as I wake up, lol. It used to mess with my mood from all the alerts and stuff. Instead, I just sit quietly or pet my cat for a few mins. I feel less rushed and way more chill during the day. Like yesterday, I actually remembered to make my bed without forgetting. But old habits die hard, and I sometimes still scroll without thinking. Any ideas on how to keep this up? Also, what small changes have helped you guys?

But what if morning phone checks keep you in the loop? Seeing updates early can help you plan your day better. Going without might leave you stressed about missing something.

Honestly, that sticky note trick is genius. But what happens if you do end up grabbing your phone by mistake? Do you just put it down right away?

That "without thinking" scrolling is so real. My buddy Mark kept doing the same thing, grabbing his phone on autopilot while his coffee brewed. He finally put a sticky note on his bathroom mirror that just says "Breathe First." Seems silly, but seeing that reminder before he even left the bedroom actually worked. He told me he's gone a whole week just staring out the window instead, and his whole workday feels less frantic.
