My neighbor's leaf blower at 7am on a Saturday finally pushed me to ask, is there a polite way to handle this?

So this started about 3 weeks ago when I moved into a new place near downtown Spokane. Every Saturday since then, my next door neighbor fires up his leaf blower at 7am sharp and runs it for what feels like 45 minutes. I work nights so I'm usually asleep by then, and it wakes me up every single time. I tried knocking on his door once but nobody answered, and I don't want to be the new guy who starts drama. Is there a normal way people deal with this, like a note or talking to the landlord? What would you do here?
