Can we talk about stacking 60 phone shots of the moon versus one 2-second DSLR exposure?

Last week I shot the moon with both in my backyard in Boise, and the stacked phone frames actually pulled out sharper crater edges than the single DSLR shot since it cut the atmospheric blur way down. Has anyone else gotten better results from stacking cheap frames over one clean long exposure?
