My time in Mexico introduced me to a clever dent repair method

I was down in Mexico visiting relatives a few months back. Ended up spending a day at my cousin's little body shop on the outskirts of town. They had a pickup with a creased door and were out of the usual filler. My cousin grabbed some two-part epoxy and mixed it with super fine wood dust from his sanding. He slathered it on, let it set up, and shaped it with a file. It wasn't pretty, but once primed, you could hardly tell. It really opened my eyes to being flexible with materials. I guess sometimes you just have to improvise with what's nearby to keep things moving.

My uncle in Arizona fixed a cracked bumper with fiberglass resin and coffee grounds once. I mean, it sounds crazy but it held up for years. Idk, maybe it's just me but I love seeing people make do with what they have. Like using toothpaste for small scratches or baking soda for cleaning. It really shows you don't always need fancy stuff. Your cousin's wood dust trick is pretty clever, gotta remember that.

Your uncle's coffee grounds fix is wild, but it shows how creative you can get. I mean, that 'make do' attitude saves so much cash and cuts down on waste too. Stuff like using vinegar for almost any clean-up job.
