Vent: the body guy down the row from me said to skip the primer on bare steel, and now I'm redoing a whole fender
He claimed epoxy was a waste of time on a 'small scuff' on a 2019 Silverado, so I sprayed base right over it and watched the edges lift within a month. Has anyone else had a mentor give them a shortcut that cost way more than it saved?
