Watched a tech at a shop in Denver chase a misfire for 2 hours, then I spotted it in 5 minutes

Stopped by a friend's shop off Federal Blvd last Thursday to grab a part. He had a 2012 Civic with a cylinder 3 misfire, already swapped coils and plugs, still missing. I noticed the harness clip on the injector was broken and the wire was barely hanging on. Told him to wiggle it while I watched the scan tool, misfire count jumped every time. Sometimes you gotta look at the dumb stuff before you start throwing parts at it. Anyone else got a story about a simple fix that took forever to find?
