Appreciation post for the old timer at MRO in Atlanta who showed me the zip tie trick for wire bundles
He used a specific pair of Knipex cutters to trim every zip tie flush at a 45 degree angle so they never snag on other wires, and I've been doing it ever since, anyone else learned a random tip from a veteran tech on a job site?

Friend of mine picked this up from a guy at a shop out in Phoenix. Dude was like 70 years old, been doing it since the 80s. He even showed him how to do it with your eyes closed.

Yeah, I used to think that whole "do it with your eyes closed" thing was just a gimmick. But seeing someone that age who's been at it for decades kinda changes your mind. There's something to it when a guy who's been practicing that long can pull it off blind.
