Had to pick between a cheap laptop with great battery and a pricier one that's faster

12 hours is a marketing number anyway (they always test with the screen dimmed and nothing running). I'm not saying you made the wrong call but watching a video stutter for ten seconds isn't exactly the end of the world. You could probably fix most of that by just closing some tabs or running a quick cleanup on your startup apps. People act like a little lag is a crisis but I've dealt with way worse laptops and still got my work done.

Dropped $2k on a fancy CRM software last quarter and it nearly sank us

Leo put his phone number on that form to get a free credit report and ended up with a recurring 30 dollar monthly charge he couldn't cancel for six months. I saw the same thing happen to my cousin when he tried that "free trial" for a debt consolidation app. So my question is, what exactly does this thing get you that a good old fashioned notebook and a calculator can't do for free?

Am I the only one who thinks we're too quick to tell people to just buy new?

That guy who quoted her a grand for a sealed system over a relay needs his license checked.

The $7 spreadsheet trick that killed my daily coffee shop habit

Read that using actual cash for splurges helps too, @walker.andrew.

Binged The Office 3 times before someone told me I was watching it wrong

My buddy had that exact "wait you're supposed to watch it THAT way" moment with Arrested Development. He watched it on his laptop while cooking dinner and missed half the narrator jokes and background signs. After I made him rewatch it with full attention, he got so mad at himself for not realizing how layered the comedy actually was.
