She said my shift notes were too vague and that I kept writing things like "cleaned up" without saying what or where, which made it impossible for the next person to pick up where I left off. So now I write stuff like "faced cereal aisle, 3 boxes of Cheerios left" or "took out 4 carts of cardboard from backroom" and honestly I get way fewer questions the next day. Has anyone else had a boss call out something small like that and it stuck with you for years?
