Can we talk about my home wiring hack with an avionics tool?

I was tidying up my home office cables and had a bad connector. Grabbed my aircraft crimper from the job, and it held the tiny wires just right. What other pro tools do you bring home for small repairs?

Honestly, I always thought that stuff was overkill for home use. But my old crimper mangled a network cable, so I tried a precision tool from work. The clean connection was a total game changer for those tiny wires. Now I keep a good pair of diagonal cutters here too.

No way, you used an actual aircraft tool on house wires? That's wild. I mean @sethw42 is right about clean connections mattering, but it's kind of blowing my mind. My home's old wiring is so sketchy, I get nervous using the wrong light bulb. The idea of a pro crimp on a tiny wire in my outlet is just a whole other level. It probably works way better, but my brain just sees two very different worlds colliding.

Right, like sethw42 said, the right tool just works.
