Finally got the hang of reading wiring diagrams for the G1000

Two years back, I'd stare at those huge G1000 schematics for an hour just to trace a single power feed. I'd print them out and use three highlighters. Last week, our lead showed me a trick on the digital manual viewer to isolate just the circuit you need with a couple clicks. I fixed a faulty AHRS power issue in under thirty minutes yesterday. What's your go-to method for dealing with complex system diagrams?

My old shop still uses the three highlighter method. I'm not telling them about the digital viewer, I like watching them suffer.

The digital viewer trick is great, but you still need the paper schematic for some FAA paperwork. I keep a marked-up set in the hangar just for that.

Is it really that big a deal to learn a new system? I just open the manual on a tablet and zoom in. Miles_perez has a point about the old way, but making it sound like some huge victory feels like overkill. It's just a different tool.
